Current Position
Mr. Vickstrom joined the firm in May of 1998. He is a Vice President with the firm in charge of the Tampa office. Since joining the firm, he has prepared the site development plans for numerous residential, parks and commercial sites, designed stormwater management facilities to serve commercial developments, and designed wastewater systems, lift stations and force mains.

Municipal Projects
City of St. Petersburg Stormwater Management Master Plan - Project manager responsible for analyzing existing and future flood conditions, designing drainage system improvements, and assessing non-point source pollution.
Leon County Stormwater Master Plan Implementation ? Prepared preliminary designs and cost estimates for three stormwater management ponds in the Tallahassee area. Analyzed current and future flooding conditions in the watersheds. Alligator Creek Detention Pond - Project manager responsible for the design of this flood control facility in Pinellas County. Project involved a detailed hydraulic and hydrologic analysis of the watershed, wetland habitat creation, construction plan and specification preparation for the detention facility.
City of St. Cloud Lakefront - Project manager responsible for the design of the storm drainage improvements and water quality facilities at the outfalls of the City's storm drainage system to improve water quality at the point of discharge to East Lake Toho.
Tarpon Springs Stormwater Master Plan - Project Manager responsible for the preparation of this plan. Project involved development of the BRN model to determine flood elevations throughout the City for various storm events, and modeling alternatives to alleviate flooding. Engineer responsible for assisting the City in the development of a stormwater utility program.
New Port Richey Stormwater Master Plan and Utility Program - Project Manager in charge of the development of a stormwater utility program for the City. Included in the program are evaluation of alternative funding sources, development of a utility data base, rate study analysis, and recommendations for the structure of the program.
State and Federal Projects
Soto Town, St. Thomas, USVI - Project Manager responsible for the preparation of this reconnaissance study to determine solutions to correct flood problems. Project involved the development of hydrologic and hydraulic models, flood plain cross sections and flood elevations, alternatives, and cost/benefit analyses. Itchepackesassa Creek Floodplain Study ? Project Manager for this reconnaissance?level Section 205 Flood Study for the US Army Corps of Engineers. Project involved the development of hydrologic and hydraulic models for this 25 square mile watershed to establish existing conditions flood levels for a range of design storms. Trinidad Flood Control Project Evaluation ? Senior Engineer on this review study for the World Bank. Project involved the study and review of eight flood control projects on the island of Trinidad to evaluate their overall effectiveness and engineering design.
Black Creek Watershed Study ? Project Manager on this study in North Florida for the US Army Corps of Engineers. Project involved the preparation of hydrologic and hydraulic models to determine existing flood levels and water quality conditions along the creek.

Powells Creek Watershed Study - Senior Engineer in charge of developing and calibrating the hydrologic model for this 24 sq. mile watershed. Rainfall distribution, sub basins, RCN values, times of concentration and routing reaches were determined using SCS procedures. WRA Watershed Review Project - Senior Engineer involved in the review of watershed models for the Water Resources Administration, State of Maryland. Project involved determining the technical accuracy of hydrologic and hydraulic models. New Orleans Flood Investigation - Project Engineer providing technical support to the Department of Justice and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in this legal action against two Parishes in New Orleans to recover damages from floods.
Nationwide Flood Plain Study Review - Project Engineer responsible for the review of hydraulic models for the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) flood insurance studies. Prepared Flood Insurance Rate Maps using the results of the models.
Centre Ridge - Project Engineer for the development of the Stormwater Management requirements for this 450 acre site. Involved developing a hydrologic model of a network of lakes and ponds that provided detention of increased stormwater runoff. McNair Farms - Senior Engineer in charge of directing the development of the Stormwater Management Plan and flood plain studies for the project. Directed the preparation of four flood plain studies, the overall SWM study, and the final design of six ponds on the site.
